I've been thinking: why are there so many "older male, younger female" relationships in Harry Potter, but no "older female, younger male" relationships that come to mind?
Negating two or three years difference (no major deal), the first two that pop in to my head are Bill/Fleur and Remus/Tonks. Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm HORRIBLE at math, but Bill is about 6 or 7 years older than Fleur, and Remus is roughly 13 years older than Tonks. And really, Tonks and Fleur are both rather young women...I don't really mind the age differences, but it strikes me as odd that we never see such a gap with an older woman instead of a younger one.

I didn't cry at the end of the movie. I sobbed at the end of the book. And oh my lord, how I cried at the end of this story. It's the gorgeous little piece I always wanted to write but never could, because let's face it, I can't string coherent sentences together. READ THIS, or I'll never forgive you.

Overlapping Space, by Jetami
This fic FORCED me to rec after over two months of absence. (Sorry about that, by the way. Massive amounts of work, school, and drugs have sucked up most of my time.) It's poetic, but in a subtle and simplistic way, and you can actually feel the tension seeping off of your web browser.

Harry Potter
Harry/Draco, but not as smutty or crackfic-ish as I usually rec. Mostly dialogue, but don't let that turn you away, because it's THAT that brings you in to the characters. Poignant and slightly ambiguous, the nail as truly been hit on the head with this one.

This thread nags me. Why do slash stories HAVE to have a warning? Homosexuality is a preference, not a kink. We shouldn't have to cover our stories in blinking lights that squeal, "OMG TEH GAY!" Honestly.
And the typing on the aforementioned thread makes my eyes bleed.

Here's a pet peeve of mine: if memory serves me, Ravenclaws are referred to as the house for the most intelligent Hogwarts students. So why do fanfics always make it out that Ravenclaws do nothing but study and worry about schoolwork?
I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I myself am rather smart. I'm a straight-A student with a good long-term memory (although my short-term is accute to that of a goldish, especially when concerning numbers), but I hardly study. I HATE studying.
Is there anything in the book that mentions Ravenclaws specifically being study happy? Or is it just a common fanon conclusion?

Love Thy Brother, by Laura
Enjolras/Grantaire. I think this is the absolute first time I've found a fic in which Enjolras DOESN'T have to be drunk to sleep with someone...but for kicks and giggles, here's another E/G story, this time with drunkenness, and of course, a spoof of Monty Python's Dead Parrot sketch.
And, of course, every Les Mis slash fan needs to know about the popular The Saga of Christian Canon, which is about as engrained in LM slash as "A Season in Hell" is engrained in HP slash.
ALSO, A QUESTION TO YOU ALL!
I truly love several characters in Les Miserables (the novel, musical, and movie), namely Eponine, Montparnasse, and Thenardier, all for different reasons.
Now, most people get confused when I mention Montparnasse. I really couldn't tell you why, but I always thought Montparnasse was just such an interesting character. Then I thought about it and realized that, at one point in time, 'Parnasse and 'Ponine probably had a relationship. (This Sparknotes post shows some good examples as to why that may be considered.)
So why no Eponine/Montparnasse fiction anywhere? Every Montparnasse actor and Eponine actress I've ever seen has been at least relatively good-looking, so I don't see that being a problem. Yeah, she's in love with Marius before she dies, but that's never stopped anyone before! XD
EDIT: Hurrah! Montparnasse fic! Now to find one where he isn't relentlessly abusing his lover. Why the fuck does fanon always make Montparnasse a [wo]man beater? Because he pulled Eponine out of the darkness in the musical?! Teh fuckage, d00d?!

Oh so angsty...hence, rather effective. I love the metaphor of the "dragonsnake...coiled inside him" to match the internal turmoil. Definitely worth a look.

If you haven't heard about this by now, you're REALLY out of the loop...but then again, I just caught on to it. This fic made me laugh until I almost wet myself! "Darth Vader Superstar" is definitely one of the best parts of the whole blog/story.
